#1 Re: General » Using my CE4 plugins on a Wordpress site » 2016-08-19 23:08:34

Rod,
I am actually buying a theme for Worpress so won't be using TTG Theme for Wordpress so I guess I could have issues then.
Looking at Matt's document it seems that it might be possible.... BUT....

I have been a long term user of TTG plugins (since Matthew Started).
My current site is built using CE4 (www.graham-mansfield.com).
I am a wedding photographer and my business has taken off and I really need to upgrade my site significantly as I am trying to get up the price bracket. I have looked at backlight but at the moment I don't think that is going to work for me just yet. I have seen a Wordpress site that is really nice however I want to still manage my Galleries both normal & client response via my CE4 plugins (oh and use Publisher). Is this possible? I currently own CE4 pages, Auto Index, Stage, Publisher, Cart and Wordpress.

AHHHH yes thats what I have done!!! Ok so then I need to install publisher correct?

#4 Re: CE4 Pages » Having issues with setup » 2016-06-16 09:45:19

Yes the site is there and I am able to connect ok to ttg-be and ammend that etc. The error message seems to be complaining about publisher but I haven't yet set up publisher. When I built my site I actually was using a windows machine and used wamp but its pretty much the same but I am using a mac now.

I have been happily running CE4 for a few years (www.graham-mansfield.com) however I wanted to upgrade my website with some new text logo etc. I use xampp as a way of testing the site locally rather than doing on my live server.
Whilst I am able to go into the back end software and configure it when I try and run http://localhost to get the main site up i get this error message. can anyone help?

Warning: include_once(./ttg-be/publisher/application/config/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/ttg-be/framework/init.php on line 30

I wonder if anyone can help me?
I have followed the instructions for setting up PHP plugins but am unable to seem to get a custom css to work.
My test site is on www.graham-mansfield.com/test/. I have got the PHPPlugins directly in the root of the test site. I followed the instructions and got the correct address which is :- /kunden/homepages/33/d400783932/htdocs/graham-mansfield/test/phplugins

I am using the custom CSS supplied as a way to test (i.e. turning the background red) but it doesn't seem to work. The only area I need the custom CSS to work is on my Galleries area as I want to round the corners and add a drop shadow to the galleries. Rod Barbee supplied me with the CSS but an still unable to get a simple on to work.
Can anyone help?

Thanks

Rod, Ok got it! I have now changed the text withing Publisher and that is all working ok...
In regard to the Breadcrumbs link, I have looked in Stage in the Ouput tab and under Breadcrumb styling the "Preview Breadcrumbs" is not selected. have you any idea where I can switch that off?

I'm sorry Rod I don't understand what you are saying. That link has appeared (and I know its garbage)  and seems to overwrite the text in that area and that's my problem I don't know how to disable the link as I can't find where its coming from. It doesn't seem to be in Pages and I can't see it in Stage.
I have spent ages trying to sort this out and have been going round in circles. I am not a beginner in TTG products having gone from TTG-CE-CE2-CE£ and now 4 but I am damned if I can find this one.

I am trying to recreate my CE3 site to a CE4 site basically in the same style except that I can mange the Gallery on the home page by using publisher. My CE3 site is www.graham-mansfield.com and I have created that site using CE4 Pages as well as Stage to create the gallery. Whilst it seems to be ok within Lightroom when I publish it i get this http://graham-mansfield.com/test/
Comparing this with the CE3 site you see that the text block at the bottom seems to only have a link in it even though in Lightroom it all looks perfect. I have been trying for days to find out what I am doing wrong and wonder if you can help me?

Thanks in advance.

Rod,
I am really sorry I am not sure I understand the difference (sorry if I am being stupid).

What I want is a home page galley managed bu publisher the same as I had under CS3 (www.graham-mansfield.com)
I thought I was using a Highslide gallery on the current homepage?

#19 Re: CE4 Pages » Home Page Gallery issue » 2015-02-23 21:08:49

Hi Matt,
Yes well in fact I did use CE4 Gallery to create the gallery template but Rod said (you're probably using a CE4 Gallery as your template. Use Stage configured for Galleria) hence my question. So it should work then correct?

#20 Re: CE4 Pages » Home Page Gallery issue » 2015-02-23 16:06:07

Sorry  I should have said in my original post that I am using Pages. I thought that had stage imbedded .

#21 Re: CE4 Pages » Home Page Gallery issue » 2015-02-23 16:04:31

Oh does that mean  I have to purchase stage then? In CE3 I never had to.

I am trying to manage my home page and using publisher to update the Gallery.
It all works ok except I get a grid view of the images rather than a  slideshow.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

#23 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 versus CE3 » 2015-02-20 18:57:23

Thanks Ron that worked.. Much appreciated. One thing earlier in this thread you gave me the CSS code for the custom CSS which files do I apply that to?

#24 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 versus CE3 » 2015-02-20 06:57:41

Are yes I do! Ok great will try that and thanks again.

#25 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 versus CE3 » 2015-02-20 06:27:22

Sorry to bug you again Rod. I always have used Wampserver when building my sites since the first TTG, this makes testing easy and quick. I have created a site using pages and copied the TTG-be alongside the pages however when I try and run it within the Wampserver environment it saying connecting and then I get the error The page isn't redirecting properly! Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. I can happily test run my old CE3 test site within the same environment  without issue. I assume it's something to do with BE but I have configured it as per the tutorials. Wonder if yo can help? Thanks Graham
