I have log files dating back to 2016 in the directory /backlight/data/publisher/logs. There are well over 500 files, are these needed, or can I delete them?

Thanks,
Bob

When I open up my blog in Chrome everything looks right. But if I click on a past post my header logo disappears, and this warning appears in the toolbar: This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources.

It also asks if I want to load unsafe scripts. When I OK loading the scripts it returns the site back to "normal" and everything is fine.

Hi Rod,

As usual, my mistake, I was using the single image presentation. All is good now.

Thanks

In the past I could navigate through the single image gallery photos with the right & left arrows on the keyboard. This isn't working for me in Pangolin, was it removed or do I need to change a setting? I couldn't find anyplace to make a change.

Thanks
Bob

#7 Re: Backlight Support » Pangolin Vega Slide Show - Remove Bottom Timer Line » 2017-07-04 09:11:45

Matt,

Thanks for your quick reply. Since it worked on your end, I re-checked everything on my end, when I cleared the template cache it worked. I should have remembered that sooner.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

I'm trying to find the setting to remove the white bottom line that moves across bottom of the slide show images. I'm using the Pangolin Theater module, and have the show timer on off.

Thanks,
Bob

#10 Re: Backlight Support » Pangolin Album Set Thumbnail Columns » 2017-07-03 09:47:21

Matt,

My test site is http://justwalkingaround.com/

I think the issue I was having is my monitor is 2560 X 1440 so I needed to minimize it 1280 to show just 4 galleries in each row. In the previous version it remained at 4. Thanks for helping me understand what was happening.

Thanks,
Bob

#11 Re: Backlight Support » Pangolin Album Set Thumbnail Columns » 2017-07-03 03:02:07

Hi Matt,

I've actually made the changes to the screen breakpoints numerous times, but after a screen refresh it still shows 5 columns.

I just tried again, if I'm in full screen mode, it shows 5 columns, but if I change the window size it changes to my 4 columns setting.

I can't seem to find a way to have the gallery index thumbnails show no more than 4 across on the page. With the previous version I was able to set the number of columns with the Max. Columns setting.

Thanks,

#13 Re: Backlight Support » Error Message When Saving Template » 2016-10-13 08:56:50

Ben,

I made the changes you suggested. So far I haven't had any issues, while making changes to Backlight.

It was a little strange today, the settings would save multiple times, then the error would pop up. I would close Backlight, and reopen, sometimes that seemed to work, but often it didn't. Then later in the day, I didn't seem to have any issues. Like I said strange.

Thanks for your help,
Bob

Hi Daniel,

I've been with Bluehost for the last 5 years.

Well, I may have spoken too soon. It's reappeared, and seems somewhat random, never sure when it's going to pop up.

Anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

Please disregard the message, everything seems to be working well now.  smile

When trying to save a template I'm getting an error:

Unable to save settings: Update query failed with error: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 10 disk I/O error sql:

Update 'template_setting SET
template_id=\31\
modified=\2016-10-12 15:02:59\
value=\16\
WHERE template_id=31 AND
setting_id=\navigation.font_size\
params:
array () in PdoExtended.php on line 552

I have two websites, and the error happens on both when trying to save the templates. I've cleared the cache, and tried numerous times to save. It does save sometimes, but then reverts back to the error message.

Ok, I just figured it out. Under the customizing posts, I needed to uncheck "Excerpts on Blog".    smile

I installed the new WordPress theme, and have begun to design the template.

I can’t seem to figure out how to show the image posts on the main page. I’m currently getting the all the titles, but no images.  http://bobleggettphotography.com/blog/

If I click on a title, the post opens, and the photo & post is there.

Is there a way to show all posts with photos & titles appearing together?

Thanks,
Bob

Daniel,

Alright, I might have missed one. In my defense I was looking for apostrophes.  smile

Thanks again for helping me out.

Matthew,

I've checked my captions and I don't have any with apostrophes in my slideshow. Is there anything else that might be causing the vegas slideshow not to run for me.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

I getting the same result on my site as Leuvenaar230. The Vegas slideshow is not showing any photos, the other selections do work. I republished my photos, but no change.

#24 Re: Backlight Support » Full Screen Slide Show Stops » 2016-09-09 08:55:53

Daniel,

Thanks for the help. I reduced the photos by 500 pixels on the long side and 1000 on the height.

That seemed to keep the quality, and solve the slow / no loading issue.

Thanks for your help again!

I'm using the Vegas full screen slide show on my sites home page. I have 17 photos in the folder, but for some reason I can't figure out, the slide show stops about 6 or 7 photos in, it's also random and doesn't always stop on the same slide. If I refresh the screen it begins to run again, but still stops after a few photos.

I've made changes in the Vegas settings to see if any change would help, and also refreshed my webpage, cleared history, and cleared Backlight's template cache.

Does anyone have an idea what the issue might be?

Thanks,
Bob
